Happy New Year... a little late!

Hey all! The new year has been good so far :) It is going to be a great year! I can feel it. Tyson is working C shift at the fire department. Adjusting to a "routine" has been akward, but he is home with us more. The girls ask where her is every time he goes to work now :) We have been doing lots of little famly bike rides and going to the dollar movies. We are good at having fun on a dime :) The Markets are going good for me and Emy. I love, love, love what I do! I am so lucky.
As for the kiddos...Blythe has gotten to be a frequent customer at the "Disney" dentist :) It didn't start out smooth, but she realized that we take her to the dentist to prevent pain and help her. Man...who knew :) She has gotten 2 teeth pulled, a cavity filled and one (of 2) spacers in. Next week we get to go in again for the other spacer and stainless steel crown! Whew hew! She will be starting school at Oakwood in August and is super excited about that. I can't wait. She is going to be a wiz kid I think :) As for little Miss Brynnlee Kay...she is growing up too! As she reminds us every day :) She isn't afraid of anything and falls asleep anywhere! She wants to get into dance class like sissy did when she was 3! And you would think that all the recent trips to the dentist (watching sissy cry and moan), that she would be running from the dentist. BUT...she's talking about when she "get's to have her teeth out" and asking why she can't have a cavity. Ah!!! She is our little bundle of smiles. She has a little cough today and getting over a fever but trying to convince me that she feels great! They are such fun little kids :)
We decided recently that Blythe is a little more demanding. I don't think she has an off switch at all! You all know what I mean :):):) She has 2 levels of noise...loud...and louder! Even her wispers are loud! But she brings a whole new light to things and we can't help but smile...even when she is riding our nerves :)
I just planted a few new things in our garden. Hopefully I will get to harvest stuff this spring. Who knows. Bailey (one of the doggies) likes to harvest for me early though. I hope she refrains. One can hope!
We did get to pick more lemons off our tree this year though!!!! I LOVE that! Fresh lemonade is the best! I have already juiced and froze like 6 bags.
Hmmm...what else?...I am determined to get in shape this year and so far I am doing ok! I asked for a Gym membership for Christmas and Santa granted my wish :) So Tyson and I have been hitting the gym when we can and moaning in soreness at night :) But it's a great feeling!
Well...go 2010!!! It will be a GREAT year!

Ah...it's finally September

Our little Blythe is quickly becoming not so little anymore :( She just turned the ripe old age of 5 on Tuesday. She is excited to be 5. Everything now to her is....it's because I am 5 now. :) Such as : I always listen because I am 5 and 5 year olds always listen. (I won't argue with that! I am just glad she is at the always listening age then. HaHa!) and she is stronger, faster and smarter now since she is "5 now". Her whole world changed :) She will be starting school next August and she is very excited for that. We will be doing a lot of Kindgerden preperation over the next year :) I think she is most excited that we are going to take her school shopping. We told her she would get a new outfit for school and she can't wait! (Ah...so it starts!)
Little Miss Brynnlee turned 3 in July. It all happens so fast! She wanted to have a "Fancy Party"...excuse me..."PRETTY Party" for her birthday ever since she saw Tyson in his new suit when he was doing interviews with the Fire Department:) She was so impressed by his suit that she wanted to have a party where he could wear it. SO cute!!! We invited some family over and got all dressed up for a fancy dinner at home. She loved it and so did we. Any excuse to eat steak is a good day for me!!
As most of you know...TYSON got the job at the Peoria Fire Department. He started last week in the "Pre academy" type stuff and his 14 weeks of intense academy starts Tuesday. He gets a 4 day weekend and then...the pain starts. We went to a family orientation last night and they kind of prepared the families of what will be going on. He will be working about 12 hours a day, 5 days a week of INTENSE physical and field training! I am not playing around about the intense part. This last week was even brutal! They had to go down to the salt river one day and do water rescue training. Then they had to go to a pool and jump in with ALL of their gear on. I definatly have respect for my husband going through all of this. It looks and sounds tough!!!
So we will be trying to pamper him when he is home :) We are all happy for him and proud of him. This job is a HUGE deal and he had accomplished a lot (with more to come).
As for me...Momma's Organic Market starts back this month! YAY!!!! I am excited to get it going again and get back into the swing of things. It is a fun and rewarding thing for me and I LOVE working with Emy!!! People say not to work with family...BUT those people don't have Emy as family! She is awesome!!! Couldn't ask for a better "business partner".
We are looking into some sponsorship with Chipotle! And we are hoping Shamrock Farms will be back on board this season too. We have fun new vendors and activities planned for the 09-10 season of M.O.M and can't wait to see how it all unfolds.
Have a great September! I am excited that fall is almost here and it will start to cool down. That means more outside play, laying out and planting a new garden! Whew Hew!
Well, have a great month and I hope to see you at our first market on September 19th (from 9-2)!! :)

Monday, July 13th

This week, Tyson and I caught up with the rest of the world (including our grandparents!) and actually created a facebook page! That's not the only cool new thing here at the Esquibel house... TYSON GOT THE CONDITIONAL OFFER FROM PEORIA!!! He is officially chosen to be on the Peoria Fire Department. He just had his physical today and all went well.
Brynnlee will be turning 3 in just a couple weeks. Wow how time flies! Then, not long after that...Blythe will be 5!!! It's weird to think that she will be in kindergarden next year and be in school until she's an adult! We are proud of our little princesses. They are so smart and so much fun. Life really is amazing when you have little kids around to remind you what life is really about. Tyson, myself and Blythe were pretty sick this weekend. And Blythe felt better before we did so she said she prayed for us :):) So cute!!
Right now both of them decided they like to clean. I'll take it!!! ANY time they actually WANT to clean...we definatly LET them :) Brynnlee is folding towels and Blythe is using the swiffer on the floor.
Yeah...my garden...is no longer. Bailey had a taste of tomatoes and decided they were evidently her new favorite thing. So not even a tiny little start of a green tomato makes it anymore. It was my fault though. I gave her a tomato that a bug got into and she was hooked. Before that...she never touched them. I will have to do some new planting in the fall and maybe get some sort of electric fence or something :) OR get the plants that hang. But I am sure she'd find a way to get to those too.
It is super hot! (of course it's AZ in the summer) It seems like everyone always gets so surprised at how hot it really gets. And I am not excluding myself from that statement either. :) BUT...the good thing is...the pool is PERFECT in July :) We had a fun swim day on Saturday at my moms before we got sick. :)
Hopefully we can get in a little vacation before Tyson starts the academy. We will see.

It's June!! (almost)

Hey Dorotha!!!! Your birthday is next week!!! Whew hew! Happy Bday early!!!

Well, it's a new month starting MONDAY! Of course it's the 1st of a new month AND a Monday. So if anyone is starting a new diet or excercise program...June is a good month to start :)
We have had a fun week with the slip and slide this week with Aunt Madi! It's been fun. I don't think we will even put it away! I am sure that thing will break by the end of summer if we keep using it like we have this week.
We are so excited it's summer! Yes...it's REALLY hot, but lots of water keeps it very tolerable and really fun! And when we go out...THANK GOD for our baby bee cool carseat coolers (you guys who have one or have seen ours know what I mean)! How does anyone with little ones make it through the summer without one of those?
Anyway...this is Tyson's last week of ride alongs and Tuesday is his INTERVIEW!!! We are all nervous, anxious and excited here in the Esquibel house! We KNOW he will do great! BUT...let's just hope they like him as much as we do :) I really think he's in, but we are on the edge of our seats awaiting their decision !!
Oh...and I just realized that I haven't even mentioned my garden on here! Geez! This is my first experiance at gardening and I LOVE it! It's so neat to watch things grow that YOU plant. I have tomatoes that will soon be ready to pick, and my corn actually has stalks on it! MY squash is growing well, and our watermelon looks great so far (which I just replanted last week!).
I just planted some okra in a pot and will hopefully soon get my planter box started with all sorts of things. I decided yesterday after seeing an artichoke plant that I WANT one and have a spot that I picked for those! THEN...I want to start herbs in the house and have some hanging planters with bell peppers, zucchinni and strawberries. I still have to research blackberries and rasberries...AND I am hoping to either plant an anna apple tree or peach tree in the near future. I am just way too excited that I can grow things :) Everyone should at least have one pot goin' :) My friend Emily (hey Em!) has a big ol' garden growing and I can't wait to see it and get ideas :) She picked 13 tomatoes the other day! Go Emily!!!
So...I have a feeling this is going to be a good summer and great end of year! We are very blessed and thankful for everything we have! We have wonderful family and friends and are constantly meeting great people! There's not much more we could ask for:)

Summer is here!

This week school lets out and summer is officially here. Talk about hot! It's already 107 degrees!
We plan on a lot of swimming and water play!
The girls are excited for Madi (their aunt-8yrs old) to be out of school for the summer so that they can play! We may hit up Harkins summer movie fun and are going to start a little bible club at Mrs. Pauleene's (my sister Cassidy's mother in law and my moms neighbor).
Tyson is into fire season now. BUT... Hopefully he will be a Peoria Firefighter by the end of summer! His interview is on June 2nd and if he is hired, the academy starts in September. So fingers crossed and pray hard :) There were around 850 applicants and he is one of the about 160 to be interviewed. And hopefully...one of the 5 to get hired. (I personally think he has totally got it, but in time we will know.)
Today is my brother's birthday! Happy Birthday Thomas!!!! Tomorrow is my neighbors bday! Happy bday Meghan! And Cousin Ashlyn's bday is Sunday! Happy Birthday to you too Ash!!
AND....congrats grads!!! Both my cousins Chelsea and Clayton graduated this month. Chelsea from ASU and Clayton from Sandra Day O Conner HS. He is on to Tempe next month for ASU too. Congrats and Good Luck. We love you guys!
June is also a birthday and kind of a holiday month :) Dorotha's bday is the 6th and my step bro Steven is the 10th! And then ....HAPPY FATHERS DAY to my awesome husband and father of MY kiddos...and to my daddy!!! LOVE YOU!!!
Holidays and birthdays are fun! We love spending time with our family. That is what life is all about. We appreciate you all and feel so blessed to have you all around us.

Our NEICE is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay!!! Little Payson Emelia Porter (aka baby pepper) is HERE!!! SHE was born on Sunday 5-3-09 at 9:38am. She is so cute! (newborns don't even do justice to how pretty they turn out to be though. She'll be a knockout, no doubt!) I KNEW it was ganna be a girl! Whew hew!
Now the cousins are balanced on the Porter side :) 3 boys and 3 girls! Blythe and Brynnlee are excited that there is another girl in the family. They keep asking when she is going to grow up like them so that they can play with her.
Here is a picture of her a couple hours old. And there is sure to be many many more to come :)

May 1st

It's already may! Wow! Time flys. We will be getting a brand new neice(or nephew) this month, and we can't wait to meet her(or him! But we REALLY think its a girl). So we are anxiously awaiting another cousin for our girls....ANY day!
This month brings not only Mother's Day, but lots of family and friend birthdays! Starting tomorrow. Happy birthday Rick! Also...happy upcoming birthday to...Robbie, Thomas, baby porter :), Christian, Ashlynn, both neighbors Meghan and Randy, and our friend Chris up in Oregon. Did I miss anyone? Oh...and happy 5th anniversary to my dad and step mom Amber!!!
Summer is fast approaching and the kids can't wait to go swimming and try to hang out with their aunt Madi as much as possible!
Our market is about to have the last one of the season on the 16th. And the city of Peoria has decided to come in and have an auto show of all the dealers in Peoria with their hybrids!! That will be a fun addition to the market!
This year has been so great! We can't wait to see what else God has in store for us. We have been very fortunate! We are so thankful for all the family and friends we have and that we are able to be such a big part of it.
